Recess Week~~

Yeah... finally recess week is here. I just printed out Past yr paper, hopefully that will be engh motivation for me to start working on my examinations. Final year is really full of crap man... HRM report, FYP interm report, can't we just take the exam take our certs and leave. Keep it simple... no hassle...

Anyway, Shawn (my guitar teacher) is going to leave Hark music in a month's time. So sad, I personally thought that the popularity of the guitar course at Hark depended very much on him. No.. my guitar dreams will not leave with him. Hopefully the teacher that takes over can match up to his standard. ( the only person that i think can match his standard is the principal ) Otherwise, I might consider searching out other music schools. Chris recommended me FMmusic, that was where all the 881 songs come from. Think...Eric Ng( 黄韵仁 ) and Jim Lim( 林 倛 玉). Haha... gain rite...

Alternatives VS Substitutes

Today I attended HRM lecture. Woah..... Anyway, MH was trying to explain to us the difference between Alternatives and substitutes and he gave us a very interesting example.

Imagine Miss Hot bod who has 3 guys trying to woo her. These 3 guys each have their own characteristics and good points. ( For example, Guy A is sporty and fun loving, Guy B is musically talented and sensitive, Guy C is very helpful and supportive). Now, are the guys that are wooing Miss Hot bod considered alternatives or substitutes?

Correct Ans: Alternatives

Reason being that alternatives are considered things with different value elements and substitutes things with the same value elements. (For example, KFC MacDonald Burger King are substitutes but KFC, Crystal Jade, Fish and Co are alternatives.)

Frisbeeee... is damm fun. Too bad im in my Final yr if not I would really like to seriously train every day man. One more week to recess. Finally some respite and I can feel the exam wave coming. Motivation to study. Now its about how I can make best use of all available time to study. Final yr final spirit.

The 7 Months

No, im not declaring the end of the 7th month. But a quick mental calculation made me realise that im just 7 months away from graduation. May 8 will be the last day for FYP presentation. THen that will be the end my study life.

7 months is damm fast especially considering the amount of work that has to be completed within this short period of time. (2 examinations, FYP project and reports... all squeezed within these 7 mths) Fast is a good thing, that means I can finally get to move on with life and start a new chapter. The opportunities out there are endless. At this point in time I really feel that all the stuff that im studying now are kind of useless... just going through the motion so that NTU can award me with my cert at the end of the day. Maybe thats why the lack of motivation to chiong for my final yr. And moreover, the job market is so good now, even a second lower can get you into one of those high profile companies.... Argh... wrong mentality I know.

7mths.... one yearns to reach out to the vast ocean of opportunities out there but nevertheless can't put down all that you can't leave behind.

Ok time to go for image processing lab.... ZZzzzzz......
